Hackney Wick F.C.

Hackney Wick Football Club is an English football club based in Hackney, London. The club currently plays in the Middlesex County League Division One Central and East, where they for their inaugural season.
History
The club was founded in mid-2015 by Robert "Bobby" Kasanga, a non-league footballer who had represented Ashford Town F.C. and Horsham F.C.. Since there were very few football clubs located within the Hackney Wick area, Kasanga proposed to others the formation of a community-based club. Despite being only a new club, the founders and supporters are aiming to go as far as they can in terms of on-field success.
Local publican Declan Perkins, an Under-21 International Footballer for Ireland and former Dulwich Hamlet forward, is also part of the board, with his popular drinking den The Lauriston in Victoria Park village becoming the team’s main sponsor.
Rana Brightman, Chairwoman of Hackney Wick FC says the Wickers hope to emulate the success of F.C. United of Manchester, the team started by disillusioned Manchester United fans, who defected after the controversial Glazer takeover in 2005.
Similarly to FC United, Hackney Wick FC fans will be able to have a say in how the club is run through a membership programme on a one-member-one-vote basis.
