Dr. H.N. Prasad ( is a Library and Information Science Academics. Dr Prasad teaches at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi as Professor of Library and Information Science at the Department of Library and Information Science, (DLIS) and Ex-Head of Department of DLIS, BHU. whose main area of studies are Foundation of Library and Information Science, Knowledge organisation (Library classification)- Theory & Practice, Information Users and Needs, Universe of Knowledge and Research Methodology Career Dr. Prasad did his Bachelors in Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Library and Information Science(BLIS) and Master of Library and Information Sciencefrom Banaras Hindu University, and then earned his doctorate On "Job Satisfaction among Professional Employees of the Library: A Study" from the Department of Library and Information Science, BHU Teaching Experience Dr. Prasad Joined Department of Library and Information Science, Banaras Hindu University in 1982 and has a teaching experience of more than 28 yrs in the DLIS, BHU.
