Gurhan Kiziloz is a British businessman known as the founder and former chief executive officer (CEO) of Lanistar, a London-based financial technology company established in 2019. He currently serves as the chief executive of Nexus International, Lanistar's holding company, with interests in online gaming platforms in Brazil. Early life and education Kiziloz attended London Metropolitan University but dropped out to pursue entrepreneurship. He began a stint as a sales trainer, conducting training sessions in Europe and Dubai. Career In 2019, Kiziloz founded Lanistar, which offered digital financial services in partnership with Mastercard. In an interview with the Financial Times' The Banker, Kiziloz proposed the company's "polymorphic bank card". The company targeted 18-35 consumers, including milennials and Generation Z, through over 3,000 social media influencers which included celebrities Chris Hughes, Tommy Fury, Demi Rose, and Georgina Rodriguez. The majority shareholder of the company, Kiziloz was known as "G" by company staff. The company raised at a $189 million valuation, with aspirations to reach a US$1 billion valuation according to . The company faced regulatory challenges, including a warning from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in 2020, which were subsequently addressed, retracted, and approved. Kiziloz stepped down as CEO. Kiziloz later expanded his business interests through Nexus International, operating online gaming platforms including Megaposta. In 2024, Megaposta reported over $400 million in revenue, and Nexus International obtained a gaming license in Brazil.
