Gun Crazy 2: Beyond the Law

is a 2002 Japanese action film, starring Rei Kikukawa. A sequel to Gun Crazy: A Woman from Nowhere, it was also directed by Atsushi Muroga. It is part of the Girls with guns genre. Synopsis Yuki is a frustrated lawyer whose firm has created a false alibi in order to help some mobsters evade justice. This ploy is discovered and struck down by the opposing legal team, causing the mobsters to turn on Yuki. Just as they are about to kill her, a hitman arrives and kills them. While she survives, Yuki is left jobless when the resulting scandal destroys her firm and she loses her law license. Angry, Yuki decides to take the law into her own hands and begins studying under the hitman, Takita, unaware that he is a gangster and part of the problem she hopes to resolve. Doyle Wallis reviewed the movie for DVD Talk, stating that it was "straight, good ol', unabashed b-movie fare. Actually, that might not be fair. It is actually a tad closer to z-grade fare."
