Guaranteed Music Variety

Guaranteed Music Variety (GMV) is the slogan and on-air brand of several radio stations owned by Midwest Communications in the Midwest with a variation on the adult hits format focusing on soft rock hits of the 1970s and 1980s.
Overview
The GMV format was launched in early 2006 on KDAL-FM in Duluth, Minnesota. The format has since spread throughout the Midwest on several Midwest Communications owned stations.
In February 2006, WZBY in Green Bay debuted as 99.7 The Bay. Since WZBY's previous rhythmic format shared much of the music with sister station WOFM in Wausau, Wisconsin, which overlaps the Green Bay market.
In March 2006, WOFM-FM Wausau and its translator flipped to the GMV format as 94.7 The Peak. At this time, WOFM was once again sharing music with WZBY.
Later in 2006, WIZD in Rudolph, Wisconsin began simulcasting with WOFM again under the name The Valley. WIZD had previously simulcasted oldies station WOFM from the 1990s until 2005 when WOFM flipped to rhythmic.
Since this time, the format has been spreading to other radio stations that are owned by Midwest Communications.
In June 2008, the first GMV station KDAL-FM in Duluth, Minnesota was flipped to an Adult Album Alternative format. At the end of the month WOFM-FM Wausau and WIZD in Rudolph, Wisconsin tweaked their format to 70's-80's classic hits as "The Valley's Greatest Hits 94.7-99.9."
Presentation
