Greg Akcelrod

Greg Akcelrod (born 17 September 1982) is a French actor.
Akcelrod began his career in television before moving to film. He starred in several films like La Ligne Droite and Mon Pire Cauchemar.
Early life and career
Greg Akcelrod was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and he is the son of singer and actress Nita Raya.
Akcelrod intended to become a football player and was on trial with European giants CSKA Sofia when he was attacked by the Bulgarian media. So he turned to acting and enrolled in the Cours Simon drama school. After working in various television shows and commercials, Akcelrod made his film debut in the short film Five .
The same year Akcelrod starred with Benoît Poelvoorde in the comedy film Mon pire cauchemar. He then traveled abroad to film Régis Wargnier's La ligne droite.
Charity activities
In 2006, Akcelrod joined the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which supports people affected by cancer. The foundation has become one of the top 10 groups funding cancer research in the U.S., raising more than $325 million from the sale of yellow Livestrong bracelets and corporate sponsorships from companies like Giro, American Century Investments, Nike, Inc. and FRS. He was made a Goodwill Leader in 2009 .
