Green welly brigade

Green Welly (Wellie) Brigade
1.) A pejorative term referring to the wealthy, leisure class of Great Britain. The name was given in reference to the green wellington boots and wax jackets often worn during outdoor expeditions.
2.) A nickname adopted by urban gardeners in the U.S. This terms differs from the UK version in that "green" refers to a love for the environment as well as the physical color of a gardener's rain boots.
