Gothic cowboy

Gothic cowboy or Cowboy goth is a look primarily used around the goth subculture which is heavily influenced from old cowboy movies and the look of a typical cowboy. The gothic cowboy look started around the mid to early 80's with gothic rock bands primary using the image.
One of the first bands to start using the look was Fields of the Nephilim who borrowed heavily from the style and have influenced a lot of bands to date.
The gothic cowboy look is based around the dust and death image heavily using cowboy hats, duster coats, cowboy boots etc.
Bands that use the look in some form or another include Fields of the Nephilim (the band that started the look), The Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, The Cult, Elusive, and NFD.
