God and Evil, is a work by private scholar David Birnbaum, is a unified Theodicy/Theology/Philosophy. First published by KTAV in 1988, it has subsequently been incorporated into the 2-volume opus Summa Metaphysica (2005). God and Evil has been used as a course text at universities around the world, and has been widely reviewed globally in Jewish, Christian and secular journals. As listed in one of the book references in privation, the author argues that "evil is described to be a privation, or going wrong, of good." Summa Metaphysica, in turn, is the focus of an international academic conference, "Metaphysics", Dr. Bruce Chilton, Chairman. The 3-day April 2012 conference is being hosted jointly by the Theology and Philosophy departments of Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. |
