Gloria Rand (née Rabinowitz) is a Canadian actress. She was the first wife of William Shatner. They had three children together: Leslie Carol, born on August 31, 1958; Lisabeth Mary, born on June 12, 1960; and Melanie Ann, born on August 1, 1964. Rand and Shatner married on August 12, 1956. Their honeymoon was in Scotland. The marriage lasted ten years. Shatner left Rand while he was acting in Star Trek: The Original Series, after which she filed for divorce. The divorce was finalized in 1969. Subsequent to the divorce, Shatner remarried three times, marrying in succession Marcy Lafferty, Nerine Kidd, and Elizabeth Martin.
