GiveVaccines.org is a website founded in 2008 that uses an interactive vocabulary game to donate life-saving vaccines to impoverished areas of the world. The site, in partnership with the GAVI Alliance, donates .01 mL of vaccine for every correct answer given by participants. GiveVaccines.org incorporates two categories of vocabulary terms: English and medical terms. The medical category includes over 15 sub-categories of terms found in specific medical concentrations. GiveVaccines.org is committed to increasing awareness about vaccine preventable diseases, bringing about the realization that one person and one vaccine can make a difference and potentially save a life, while empowering people to be a part of the solution by participating in an interactive and educational tool. Donations Vaccines are donated through a partnership with the GAVI Alliance. 0.01mL are donated for each correct answer given by participant. GiveVaccines.org donated over 122,000 .01mL of vaccines to impoverished nations in 2008. World Pneumonia Day In 2009, GiveVaccines.org has teamed up with WorldPneumoniaDay.org to help raise awareness and provide aid in attempts to eliminate the millions of deaths each year caused by pneumonia. Between November 1 and November 30, 2009 all proceeds earned at the site will be donated to support the efforts of World Pneumonia Day. See Also
