Gianfranco Facchineri (born April 27, 2002) is a Canadian professional footballer who plays for Vancouver Whitecaps FC in MLS. Career Club On January 23, 2020, Facchineri was signed by the Vancouver Whitecaps as a homegrown player, becoming the 20th homegrown signing in club history. International In 2019, Facchineri co-captained the team to the semi-finals of the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, scoring the decisive penalty in a 4-3 penalty shootout victory over Costa Rica in the quarter finals, and securing his team a place at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil. |
