Giancarlo Bianchi

Giancarlo Bianchi (born 1952) is an Italian poet. He was born in Florence, Italy, where he resides and works.
Career
Bianchi was introduced to scholars working in various disciplines in his hometown of Florence, including Adolfo Oxilia, Otello Pagliai, Bruno Nardini, Franco Manescalchi and Mario Luzi.
Bianchi witnessed 40 years of florentine culture, which complemented his many experiences. He was editor of the Edition Hellas, collaborated with Mario Mazzoni's magazine Pegaso with poets and friends Duccia Camiciotti and Anna Balsamo, and he was also involved in periodicals such as Il Solco, Noi del Caricentro and La Voce.
The meeting with the historic president of "Camerata dei poeti" of Florence gave him the inspiration for the book Memorie per Adolfo Oxilia "Dall'Ultima alla Camerata dei poeti" in which the author recalls his teacher to students and friends of the professor, including Enrico Nistri, in a dense historical monograph.
In 2003,the poet participated in the writing of the book "La croce e la rosa". Loredana Disperati Fanfani (1925-1986) by Carmelo Mezzasalma Feeria editions.
In 2010, the book Nel tuo volto by Bianchi is the protagonist of the second edition of the From Florence to the stars organized by Peter Michael Musone for La Pergola Arte of Florence in the basilica of San Marco in Florence.
In 2014 his poetic Anthology All'Ancora del tempo was presented at the Casa di Dante with speakers Vera Franci Riggio and Anita Tosi Norcini.
In 2014 he was awarded the Fiorino d'argento prize for poetry, the XXXII edition of the Florence prize, for the book All'ancora del tempo from Polistampa editions.
In 2015 he organized the literary meeting at the Casa di Dante Florence to present the literary anthology Poeti in bici by Polistampa with speakers Giancarlo Bianchi, Lilly Brogi, Mariagrazia Carraroli, Silvia Ranzi and a poetic recital of actress Clara Italiano.
In 2015 at the Casa di Dante Florence he presented All'ancora del tempo next to presentations by Vera Franci Riggio, and Anita Norcini Tosi, readings by Ilaria Bucchioni and a musical performance from Laura Molteni.
He continued his work as a poet, cultural worker and as the secretary of the Association Novecento Poesia of Florence and as an adviser of Camerata dei Poeti of Florence. In 2016, at the Convento Colleviti, organized by Accademia Collegio De' Nobili held a literary meeting entitled Adolfo Oxilia: A forgotten writer" with speakers Professor Marcello Falletti di Villafalletto, the poet Giancarlo Bianchi and the Dottore Giovanni Cascio Pratilli.
In 2017, in the Palazzo del Podestà of Pescia, took place the literary meeting for the new book Uno sguardo dall'alto with speakers Carlo Lapucci, Roberta Necciari, Rudi Necciari and Emanuel Canfora.
In 2017, at Caffè Giubbe Rosse of Florence, he introduced his book Uno sguardo dall'alto with speakers Anna Maria Giglio and Enrico Nistri.
In 2018, at Sala Maggiore del Palagio he presented the book “Un poeta in trincea - Diario di guerra del giovane sottotenente Adolfo Oxilia, ragazzo del ‘99 editor Stamperia Benedetti di Pescia speakers Guja Guidi, Cascio Pratilli, Franco Apicella in the same year at Biblioteca Marucelliana in Florence he presented the same book "Un poeta in trincea" with speakers Franco Contorbia, Mario Falciani e Roberto Maini.
