Ghana Wisdom Foundation

The Ghana Wisdom Foundation is a (3) charitable organization that seeks to improve educational opportunities for schools, students, and teachers in both America and Ghana, while also promoting the concepts of global community and cultural appreciation.

Organization
Ghana Wisdom Foundation "GWF" was incorporated in 2005 as a (3) charitable organization. GWF is 100% non-profit; no member of the foundation's staff, board of directors, or volunteers receive income from donations or contributions.

Programs
GWF has established three blanket programs that provide students and educators with educational opportunities in America and Ghana.

• The GWF Partnership Program aims to connect dedicated Ghanaian schools with other partners worldwide to help alleviate the schools' needs. Partner schools must go through a rigorous application process to ensure they share the same dedication to education as GWF. Once accepted, school and organization define that school's needs and create a detailed plan aimed at achieving its educational goals. In order to achieve these goals, GWF then seeks other partners worldwide (these could include other organizations and NGO's, corporate sponsors, schools, clubs, religious institutions, and individual people) that are willing to make a similar commitment to helping the school improve its educational opportunities and achieve sustainability.

• The GWF Volunteer Program recruits motivated individuals to take an active role in the foundation's operations. Interested individuals can travel to Ghana to work directly with the schools, volunteer from home to raise awareness and/or funds, participate in service learning projects and internships, or become a member of the GWF team. The GWF Volunteer Program is essential in keeping GWF a 100% volunteer operation, and ensuring that the maximum percent of each donation goes toward helping the partner schools.

• The GWF Project Wisdom, is an embodiment of the foundation's values: education, service learning, volunteering, multicultural studies, and social awareness. It is a three week educational journey in Ghana for both American and Ghanaian students (ages 13-16).
