Geoffrey the Giraffe is the mascot of toy store Toys "R" Us. He first appeared in print adverts for Toys "R" Us (back then called Children's Bargintown) in the 1950s under the name Dr. G. Raffe. He was later renamed as Geoffrey. He appeared in TV commercials for the store starting in 1973, in his 1973 TV commercial, he appeared with hundreds of excited kids dancing through the streets. and later in 1973-1974, would be seen having a wife and two children. He was originally hand drawn animated, before briefly becoming live action in 2001, before his recent CGI/Flash animated appearance in 2007.
