Gen-Airpark

Gen-Airpark Airport is a public use airport located 2 miles southeast of Geneseo, Illinois. The airport is privately owned. It was awarded the 2020 Illinois Airport of the Year in the "Privately Owned/Public Use" category.
The airport has one runway: runway 9/27 is 2568 x 120 (783 x 37 m) and is turf. For the 12-month period ending May 30, 2021, the airport had 96 operations per week, or about 5000 per year. For the same time period, there are 16 aircraft based on the field: 14 single-engine airplanes, 1 helicopter, and 1 glider.
There is no FBO on the airport, and no fuel is available. The closest major airport is the Quad Cities International Airport in Moline, IL. Gen-Airpark is home to the Quad City Skydiving Center, which operates Cessna 205 and Cessna 182 aircraft, and an EAA Young Eagles chapter. The airport hosts a number of weekly community events and fly-ins featuring a number of vintage aircraft.
The airport plays a regular part in an annual Stearman fly-in, hosting Stearman pilots as they trek across the country.
