IGN Game Scoop! is a weekly podcast that is produced by IGN Entertainment. It covers a wide range of topics related to and including video game news.

Super Fans

Reception
IGN Game Scoop! has received very positive reviews on iTunes, and many consider it one of the best podcasts for gaming news. Each episode is about an hour long and there is a new episode almost every Friday. The main slogan that is used for the podcast is a long, enthusiastic utterance of the word "SCOOP!". Other common quotes used on Game Scoop! are "Flora Dora!", "Proper Hardcore", "Is it Happening?", and several other catch phrases, usually derived from inside jokes of the show.
Game Scoop! has had 124 episodes to date, as of June 19, 2009.

==Game Scoop!: The Videogame==
Game Scoop!: The Videogame was a fan-made game in development by two fans of the show, Harris Foster and Javi Rodriguez, under their newly-formed game studio, Lazy Boyz Games. The game was announced during an episode of Game Scoop!, and shortly after, a 5 minute gameplay video was made available on IGN. The game allowed the player to step into the shoes of a new editor at IGN Entertainment, and meet up with the hosts of the podcast, among other things. In one episode of the podcast, dialog was recorded live, on air, for the game. The game incorporated many inside jokes and served as a tribute to the podcast. The game was in development during 2008, but was unfortunately canceled.
Recurring Themes
When a news story is unveiled or a revelation is made the editors will shout "SCOOP!" (however note that this has become less frequent in recent episodes).
Reader Mail is always at the end and was classically preceded by the "Balloon Fight" music.
The podcast always ends with "That's all the scoops we have for you this week, thank you <insert names of editors> I'm Daemon Hatfield and we're out."
There are rare occasions when Greg Miller will give a 60 second rant on a topic in the video game industry.
In older episodes (around episodes 30-40), Hillary Goldstein would pretend to be R.O.B the Robot and they would have interviews in a segment named "R.O.B the Robot's in you kitchen". In one episode it was revealed that R.O.B the Robot was Greg Miller's father.
When they moved to a new podcasting room it was much hotter than the previous one so they brought in a very powerful fan. Greg would mess around, as the fan was so strong he would pretend he was at an airport.
For many episodes Greg does impressions of Rupert Murdoch in a very crude attempt at an Australian accent.
There is a segment on the podcast named "Knockin' Boots With Greg Miller" (formerly known as "Hittin' on Hoes with Greg Miller), where Greg Miller himself will give love advise to guys or girls. A special segment was "Hittin' on Bros with Greg Miller" which was dedicated to homosexuals. When the segment was introduced for the first time it took up 10-20 minutes per installment, but now has been shortened to one question per week.
Famous Phrases
Flora Dora!
Origin - Episode 69: A listener wrote in about purchasing a Sega Saturn and inquired if $50 would be too high a price. Greg asked aloud if it had a “RAM Cartridge”, Craig responded by stating that the RAM Cartridge was never released in the US. This sparked a short argument in which Craig realized that Greg was speaking of the Memory Module which plugged into the cartridge slot in the back of the system. Once Craig had conceded this Greg proclaimed “Thank You! Who just Pwnd Craig! Down goes Harris! Down goes Harris! 10 years a withered and dried his bones, it was like punching Floris Doris!” The rest of the rant was broken up by Greg and the other’s laughter, and becomes largely incomprehensible.
Greg later stated on another episode that he was trying to make reference to a Family Guy episode in which Phyllis Diller appeared but he got so worked up that he mispronounced her name as Floris Doris which then became Flora Dora due to Greg's inability to control his tongue. Ever since then Greg and other members of the Game Scoop crew have used Flora Dora whenever someone “pwns” someone else in any regard.
The term is listed in the Urban Dictionary , and is defined as:"The act of toppling the supremacy of a rival, particularly one that is noticably older than you. In the same vein as pwned and beyowned." An example is then given: "Greg Miller totally Flora Dora'd Craig Harris when his questionable knowledge about retro gaming was corrected.". This term is widely used among Game Scoop!'s fans.
Bah Raaaaistad!
Origin - Episode 106: During the listener mail portion of the GameScoop! podcast a listener named Bah Raistad wrote in asking a video game related question. Not knowing how to pronounce the listeners name Daemon Hatfield handed the mail to Greg Miller who excitedly shouted the listeners name as Bah Raaaaistad!
Is It Happening?!
Origin - Episode 88: As often happens on Gamescoop! Daemon hits the record button without telling the others. In this episode Daemon starts with "This is happening!" and Craig mumbles "It's happening now?". Greg then goes on to make fun of him, saying how old he sounds. Now whenever someone says something is happening one of the cast usually does an impression of Craig asking if it's happening.
Holy Balls!
A exclamatory that Daemon used to use regularly when introducing Gamescoop!, though he doesn't say it as much anymore.
Proper Hardcore!
Used quite frequently, a quote from Donkey Punch
