Gamera 4: Truth

, is a 2003 fan film by Shinpei Hayashiya, made as an unofficial follow-up to 1999's Gamera 3: Awakening of Irys. As it is a fan film, director Hayashiya was not allowed by Daiei to profit from the film, so all showings were free. Shusuke Kaneko, director of the three Heisei Gamera films, said he enjoyed the film.
Plot
The film begins where Gamera 3: Awakening of Irys left off: with thousands of Gyaos approaching Japan. Gamera fights the Gyaos, but is killed by a powerful albino variation. One of the Gamera fossils (the prototypes from G3) is given mana and regenerates into a new Gamera. Gamera faces the albino Gyaos and the two battle. At the last minute, Gamera manages to destroy the albino. But this Gamera proves to be more aggressive than the original and begins to destroy the city. The military attempt to destroy Gamera, but nothing seems to work. Suddenly Gamera self-destructs, reducing the city to ruins. Later, it is revealed the explosion opened a crater in the city, exposing several eggs of unknown origin.
