Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu

Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu (born 14 March 1972) is a Nigerian politician and youth activist. He is the founder and president of Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) a northern Nigeria based Non-governmental-organisation (NGO) located in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He contested for Nigeria House of Representatives seat to represent Taura/Ringim federal constituency of Jigawa State under the People Democratic Party (PDP) during 2019 Nigerian general election but lost to the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC). He was a board member of National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and other related matters (NAPTIP) a Nigerian Federal Government agency.
Early Life and Education
Gambo was born in Gujungu, a town in Taura Local Government In Jigawa State on 14th March 1972, and started his educational pursuit at Gujungu Central Primary School, and Sabon Gari Primary School, Kaduna. He attended Rimi College Kaduna and later Kaduna Polytechnic for a Diploma in Cooperative Studies. He also obtained an Advance Diploma in Marketing and Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from the same Institution.
He was nominated and participated in the 2013 edition of the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States of America (USA).
He is also a graduate of the USA International Institute of Professional Exchange program of the US Government on the Impact of Change Makers on Social Entrepreneurship.
Youths Right Advocacy
Gambo with other like minds founded the Arewa Youth Forum (AYF), which is a not-for-profit umbrella platform for youth and sustainable development driven Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) and community-Based Organizations (CBOs) spread across Northern Nigeria.
HE was instrumental to Arewa Youth Forum the recognition of the Embassy of the United States of America (USA), Abuja, wherein, in the year 2014/2015, the forum implemented the Conflict Mitigation and Peace Building Project (CMPB) in the 4-States of Kaduna, Nasarawa, Bauchi and Taraba respectively. The program, which was AYF’s noble contribution to the Federal and State Government efforts aimed at mitigating conflicts at the communal level, yielded excellent results and testimonies, among which is the training of over ten thousand youths as peace ambassadors and advocates in their respective communities.
