Gael Etock

Gael Junior Etock is a Cameroon football player, born on the 5th July 1993, who plays for Chelsea F.C, in the English Premier League. Etock is a graduate of La Masia, the academy of the Spanish football team FC Barcelona, before being signed up by Chelsea. Etock is set to go out on loan to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon, upon his 18th birthday.
Youth Career
Etock was brought from Cameroon by Samuel Eto'o after impressing him at the striker's soccer foundation, and was signed up by Barcelona at the age of 12. He stayed rising through the ranks of the acadamy, until the age of 17. Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola became impressed with the youngster's talents, which led to him even training with the senior squad at times.
Professional Career
Chelsea
On the 1st of July 2011, Chelsea were reported to have signed Etock up from the Barcelona acadamy , becoming manager André Villas-Boas's first official signing for the club. Chelsea will loan the player out for 1 year to Sporting Lisbon on the 5th of July 2011 (his birthday), before meeting up with the senior Chelsea squad for the next season.
