FutureRP

FutureRP is a free to play browser-based MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) with a science fiction themed persistent world. FutureRP has over 26,000 registered accounts, and is notable for enabling users to create their own content.
Background
FutureRP is set in a dystopian future, at a time of lawlessness and interstellar conflict. Various races conspire to achieve dominance over key star systems, through an amalgam political espionage and warfare. Players choose their preferred race, taking on its distinctive skills and traits.
Gameplay
FutureRP is a game based upon exploration, combat, and guild rivalry. Players aim to develop the most powerful, wealthy, and accomplished character amongst their peers.
Experience is gained via successful attacks, questing, and guild raids. Once a sufficient amount of experience has been gained, a character will level up, imbibing them with additional strength and abilities.
Combat may be performed between players, or against computer-controlled enemies. All available worlds and places to explore are accessable from a single listing, akin to the server list of a typical multiplayer FPS. Players can visit and explore a number of distinct environments, each with its own places to explore and enemies to fight.
Custom game content
Since December 2010, FutureRP has given paying players the power to create custom content, via a built-in feature called the World Builder. Thus far, the options include:
a map and tileset editor; an item maker; a quest editor; plus support for creating both standard NPCs (Non-Person Characters) and bosses for raiding.
