Funeral Anthem is a Power Metal band from Bangladesh created in 2007. The band is known for its fiery stage acts and melodic yet complicated faster tempo-ed compositions. History The band was created in 2007 by guitarists Arunav Shuvro and Tawsif Haider, who used to be lead guitarists of two separate bands. They were soon joined by bassist Tanvir Kaium, and the trio started jamming several heavy metal tracks<ref name="Star big thing" />, forming a heavy metal band called Metalloids. They were soon getting obsessed with Extreme Power Metal and Symphonic Metal and the three decided to change their genre. They set out top find a keyboard player and, after a year's searching and several auditions, found Maruf Rashid Khan. Then vocalist Faiyaz Hossain finally agreed to lead the band and thus Funeral Anthem was finally finding its shape, later joined by Nayeem Abdullah Oyon as the drummer.<ref name="Star big thing" /> Description Though very young, the band is mostly known for branding this new style of Power Metal music in Bangladesh. Apart from solo harmonization, accelerated drum beats and vociferous bass works, the band finessed the Power Metal movement in this country with its distinctive style of song writing that included one of a kind keyboard orchestrations and synth work. The main aim was perfection and pure dedi cation towards what they wanted to and what they are doing now.
