The company, based in San Mateo, California, was named one of the best places to work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times, where it was No. 5 in the "Small Business" category. The company's managing partner, Jeff Staley heads the tax division of Freedom Financial Network. Freedom Tax Relief is headed by its vice president and active tax attorney, James R. Brown. Brown was licensed to practice law in 1992
by the State Bar of California and is licensed to appear before the US Tax Court.
