Frances Borowsky

Frances Grace Borowsky (born July 5, 1992, Baltimore, Maryland USA) is an American cellist. She is the youngest of three children born to cellist Cecylia Barczyk and political-scientist Charles K. H. Borowsky, Ph. D.
Career
Together with her brother (violinist Emmanuel Borowsky) and sister (pianist Elizabeth Borowsky) she has performed throughout the USA as well as Canada, Mexico, Israel, Jordan, Indonesia, Japan, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Germany, Poland, and Norway. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras in the USA and China. Frances is featured on the ICRecords CD, “Musical Favorites of All Times.”
General Education
Frances was home-schooled since first grade, allowing her to focus on music. Frances started taking classes at Towson University at the age of 13. At the age of fourteen, she was admitted to the Honor's College of Towson University and was granted a full scholarship.
Musical Education
Frances has studied cello with her mother since she was four years old. She has also received guidance from cellists including Janos Starker, Irene Sharp, Zara Nelsova, Gunnar Kvaran, Alexander Huelshoff, and Michael Flaksman.
