François Zajdela (28 December 1920 - 15 November 2008) was a cancer researcher at the Curie Institute who specialised in the study of carcinogenesis. In the 1940s, he came to France with his brother Antoine, who later also worked at the Curie Institute, as a cytopathologist. His students included . He married Renée Le Roy in 1951. They had six children.<ref name"WhosWho"/> He was awarded the Ordre national du Mérite.<ref name"WhosWho"/> He was also a man who loved languages, as he spoke six fluently: Slovene, French, English, Croatian, Russian, and German.
