Foralogical Federalism

Foralogical Federalism is a type of governing system for Internet Forums, based on the political theory of Federalism.

History
Foralogical Federalism was created by James Hughes, in order to create an effective system to manage his newest forum,Using the Political Philosophy of Federalism as the basis for this system.

Similarities to Federalism
* The division of powers
**In federalism, sovereignty is divided between a central governing authority and constituent political units
**In Foralogical Federalism, the power is divided between the Admins and Moderators.

Organization
in the realm of Foralogical Federalism there are four players.
Admins
*The Admin has the ability to edit, delete, move or otherwise modify any thread on the forum. Administrators also usually have the ability to close the board, change major software items, change global skins, modify the board, and ban, delete, or create members. The final word in all matters lies, solely, in the Admin. The Admin can delegate powers, in the form of Moderators.

Moderators
*The Moderators, basically, have the same abilities as the Admin, only their powers are limited to only the forums the Admin allows. Moderators can edit or delete any post that lies in their jurisdiction. The Moderator must inform and/or warn the member that a post, is up for editing or removal, before the act is followed through, in the form of a private message.

Registered Members
*Registered Members are granted the ability to edit their previous posts, start new topics, and control their individual settings and profiles. They also have the power of complaint, in other words, if a R-Member believes a post was removed for a wrong reason or no reason, contact the the Forum Admin for further review.

Unregistered Members
*Unregistered Members have the ability to post and to read other's posts. The U-Members cannot join any User Groups, send private messages, vote in any elections, or become moderators. The only advantage of being a U-Members is the ability to have total anonymity, but with this, they lose the power of complaint.

Laws
All rules must be agreed before a member can become registered.
These are the some suggested rules for the forum.

Modifying Laws
Laws can be added, changed, or removed but only with a majority vote.
* If a registered member feels a law needs to be modified, the laws must be submitted to the Admin.
** Once the Admin has seen and approved, the fate of the 'Bill' lies in the hands of the R-Members.
*** The Admin will then post a poll asking the entire board to vote on the preposed law, if it receives a majority vote after 3 days, it becomes a law.
