Flowers And The Color Of Paint is a hip hop album recorded by Californian-born lyricists and vocalist,
Although from Los Angeles, the entire album were recorded in Lisbon, Portugal where the artist lived from 1992 until 1998.
A song from the record, Escape From The City Of Angels appeared in Columbia Pictures's feature film release The Replacement Killers in 1998 starring Mira Sorvino, Chow Yun-fat and directed by Antoine Fuqua.
The lyrics for Escape From the City Of Angels were written by Ithaka over the course of the two flights required to arrive in Lisbon from Los Angeles. A destination where it is said he arrived with a one-way ticket and less than a hundred dollars to his name.
The album was produced by Joe Fossard (engineer) and Pedro Passos (DJ) and included backing guest vocals by Marta Dias (from São Tomé and Príncipe) and bass guitar by Lisbon's Francisco Rebelo from the band Cool Hipnoise and many more.
The original pressing of Flowers And The Color Of Paint was only 1500 copies and although a song, Escape from The City Of Angels made it into a Hollywood movie, there was never an official soundtrack.
