FK Makedonija 1970 Berlin (commonly: FK Makedonija or FKM; Macedonian: Ð¤Ðš ÐœÐ°ÐºÐµÐ´Ð¾Ð½Ð¸Ñ˜Ð° 1970 Ð‘ÐµÑ€Ð»Ð¸Ð½) is a German football club from Berlin, Germany. It was founded by Macedonian immigrants in 1970 and played in Berlin's Jugoliga from 1970 to 1991. The league was established by Yugoslavian expatriates and collapsed when that country broke up. FK Makedonija then went on to join already established city competition. The club enjoyed its greatest successes through the mid-90s when the side was bolstered by the arrival of refugees from the conflicts that developed as Yugoslavia broke up.
