Five Star Industries is one of the leading fabricator to the Government Owned PSU, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, for a range of equipment critical to the installation and commissioning of power plants. BHEL is one of the oldest and largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India, and is the 12th largest power equipment manufacturer in the world.
The Company was incorporated in 1980, and is headquartered at Trichy in TamilNadu, India. The Company's core business is heavy fabrication and pressure parts. The Company’s main production unit can currently handle a capacity of 1200 M.Tons/month of Heavy Fabrications and 500 Tons/month of Pressure parts. In 2008, Five Star Industries was certified for Management Systems as per ISO 9001-2008.

Largest Ceiling Girder For 600MW Power Plant
In 2009, the company fabricated largest ceiling girder manufactured for the country’s first 600 Megawatt power plant at North Chennai Thermal Power Station of the Tamilnadu Electricity Board. The 980 tonnes girder comprising seven compartments was the largest to be designed and fabricated.
First Ceiling Girders For 660MW Super Critical Boilers
In 2010, the Company fabricated the first ceiling girders for the 660 Megawatt Super Critical Boilers for the National Thermal Power Corporation Barh Project in Bihar, India.
