| Finding Gracie

Finding Gracie is a 2008 British feature film about how even in our harsh contemporary society, love still conquers all.

 Synopsis
Newly homeless ‘Gracie’ is about to commit suicide. But at the last moment, she hovers over the railings of Waterloo Bridge, then she pulls back. A young woman, ‘Ellie’, in desperate fear for her life, runs onto the bridge. She begs Gracie to help her escape from a pursuer who’s just yards behind. Shocked out of her dark purpose, Gracie helps Ellie, and they escape. As they walk the empty streets, Gracie thinks the threat is past and a tentative relationship begins between the girls. But as she finds out more about Ellie, Gracie realizes just how vulnerable they still are. But alas, before Gracie can get them to the Police, they are re captured by the traffickers who were after Ellie. They are taken to a lonely boat and locked up. Over the next few bleak hours, the girls swap their stories. Gracie learns through Ellie, who is so different from her, how to make peace with her tragic past. In gratitude, Gracie makes a plan for them to escape. But in a cruel twist, Gracie finds herself staring at her own death again; only this time, at the hands of the traffickers. Now desperate to hold onto life, Gracie is faced with the oldest moral dilemma - Kill or be killed. About to pull the trigger that will save them, Gracie freezes. She wants to, she has to, but she can’t kill….
