Fikrejesus Amahazion

Fikrejesus Amahazion (born August 12, 1986 in Asmara, Eritrea) is a former professional footballer, last playing for Górnik Jaworzno of Poland. Amahazion is a technically skilled, physically strong, and versatile midfielder, able to play several positions. Most often, Amahazion is utilized as a central-midfielder or deep-lying playmaker where his reading of the game, precise distribution, and individual skills control the tempo of the match. Career Prior to turning professional, Amahazion played at St. Bonaventure University in the NCAA and the Ottawa Fury of the USL Premier Development League. Strong performances for both saw Amahazion offered trials with Columbus Crew of the MLS and the Charleston Battery of the USL Professional Division. Amahazion also participated in the USL Professional Combine. Before playing for GKS Górnik Jaworzno, Amahazion spent time in Tehran, Iran with Persepolis F.C. (, ) of the Iran Pro League. Current Amahazion is currently attending Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
