FC Ajax Sofia

Football club Ajax Sofia also referred to as Ajax (after the heroic Greek legend), is a professional football club from Sofia,Bulgaria.The club is historically one of the six clubs who have won the Sofia cup,the other six being PFC Levski Sofia,PFC CSKA Sofia,PFC Lokomotiv Sofia,PFC Slavia Sofia and Akademik.
History
Amateur Era
The club was founded in Sofia on August 29,1929 by Isac Anvranovic,Samuil Zefiransic and Igor Vladislavski.It was the second incarnation, after a short-lived previous attempt (as the Football Club Ajax) in 1919.The club were named after the mythological hero Ajax (mythology), a Greek who fought in the Trojan War against Troy.In The Iliad, Ajax was said to be the greatest of all the Greeks next to his cousin Achilles, and even fought an inconclusive duel with Troy's champion Hector. According to most accounts, Ajax died by committing suicide. Thus, unlike Achilles, he died unconquered.But 30 years after its incarnation the club felt a loss of money and the club was destroyed and it was gone from every body's memory.
The New Incarnation
In 29 August 2008 it was told that in 2009 the club will be revived.And the rumors were truth.The club was revived but as a kid club situated in Sofia Orlandovci.The club's name was Football Club Ajax Sofia.Its new Manager is called Petar Terziev.The club captain is Miroslav Tanchev.
