Faydwer

Faydwer is a continent of Norrath in the fictional universe of EverQuest. Faydwer is the home of the Dwarves, Wood Elves, and Gnomes. The High Elf civilization from Antonica also relocated to Faydwer after the death of the Elddar Forest. Faydwer is also home of two of the oldest creatures on all of Norrath: Mayong Mistmoore, the elf vampire, and Phinigel Autropos, the last living Kedge, a humanoid fish-like creature. The name Faydwer was given to this continent by the High Elves of Antonica when they landed on its shores. In EverQuest 2, the "Echoes of Faydwer" expansion reintroduces this legendary continent, 500 years after the period seen in Everquest. The city of Kelethin, the old Wood Elves tree town, was destroyed during The Shattering, and rebuilt by the Faes, winged creatures native to Faydwer. The Dwarves city of Kaladim has been conquered by high level monsters, and the town of the Gnomes was taken over by their own mechanical creation, the Clockwork Gnomes. Many old locations can still be found, including the dungeon of Unrest. The continent also introduces new locations such as the Loping Plains.
