FastPencil is the first self-publishing platform that allows authors to write, share, publish and sell their books. FastPencil has headquarters in Campbell, California, United States. FastPencil offers printing and publishing services in addition to “Guided Collaboration”: direct communication with editors, other authors, and like-minded individuals. The company enables authors to sell their books through Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The company's co-founders are CTO Michael "Mash" Ashley and CEO Steve Wilson. Authors who publish/print books through FastPencil retain the copyrights to such works. The online self=publishing service was launched online in July 2009. The first step, after registration, is to create a project - anything from a 10-chapter novel to turning a blog into a book or e-book is available. When the author is ready to publish, it goes through a long list of features and settings that can be controlled, including legal considerations, ISBN, the covers, the size and templates, the spine, and even the price. The author can add reviewers and editors to the project at any time by inviting them to the project. Process To sign up for FastPencil enter your name and email address .
