Farid Mamundzay

Farid Mamundzay is the deputy minister for local governance and technical assistance for IDLG (Independent Directorate of Local Governance). He was appointed by HE Hamid Karzai in 2011. Prior to this, Mamundzay has worked for Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Farid Mamundzay holds an BA in Accounting and Finance from Coventry University and an MBA in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham, UK.<ref name=board/> He has in-depth knowledge in the fields of economics and finance.
While residing in England, Mamundzay has been an active member of Afghan diaspora where he helped many Afghans to settle down, support them to find way to Universities, and promote education. He has written on Afghanistan, especially, during his BA and MSc . His researches were mostly on (1) rebuilding Afghanistan fragile institutions, (2) Afghanistan fiscal reforms and (3) connecting Afghanistan central government with other remote provinces.
