Faith Mission of Elkhart is a non-denominational Christian social service agency which provides food, shelter, clothing and other services for homeless individuals. Faith Mission of Elkhart Official Website History Established in 1956 by three Elkhart businessmen with a vision to reach out to those on the streets of the city, Faith Mission now serves men, women, and children from all over Michiana. From the opening of a new facility that can feed, shelter, educate and care for nearly double the number of individuals to the increased utilization of existing community resources and close cooperation with other agencies, the Mission seeks to provide the broadest possible range of services for the greatest number of people. Services Provided Faith Mission is the only emergency facility in Elkhart County where shelter, meals, clothing, and long-term recovery programs are provided all in one place. our doors are open 365 days a year to Michiana's neediest men, women, and children, regardless of origin, creed, age or gender. The need for assistance in Elkhart has grown significantly Long-term, life changing solutions though our in-house program: Training Faithful Men and Training Faithful Women. These residential programs help individuals identify and overcome the causes of their homelessness through a 12 month course which combines job readiness, life skills and recovery support with a new life plan that has God as its source and foundation.
