Faezeh Mohammed Hassan

Faezeh Mohammed Hassan (, born 1972) is an Emirati artist whose artworks promote Emirati and Arab culture. Her artistic style reflects her Emirati heritage.
Biography
Faezah Mohammed Hassan grew up in the UAE. Her art studio is located in her home in Sharjah, a city that inspires much of her artwork. She is deeply influenced by the German Oriental artist Gustav Bauernfeind (1848-1904). Initially, she experimented with impressionism techniques, but her mentor, Mahmoud Azadnia, helped her develop her own artistic expression—a unique Arab realism. She admires the work of the 19th-century French artist Gustave Courbet in this regard. She enjoys painting outdoor settings such as deserts, traditional Arab houses, and <<<Emirati>>> women wearing the traditional Emirati burqa. Ochre is a dominant color in most of her artworks. In an interview with Gulf Today, she stated:
Faezeh also paints celebrity portraits, most famously that of Bodour bint Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and Monica Belucci. The latter, inspired by John Singer Sargent's portrait "Madame X", won the 2024 Peru Bienal. She also works in plein-air art, incorporating vibrant colors and dynamic outdoor light scenes that reflect the country's warmth and happiness through its beautiful landscapes and traditions.
She received a special mention at Euro Expo Art, organized by NeoArtGallery during the Vernice Art Fair in Forlì (Italy).
She has participated in numerous UAE and international exhibitions (both virtual and physical). She has made a mark on the UAE art scene, particularly through her participation in exhibitions celebrating Emirati Women's Day, as her art celebrates Emirati women and emphasizes their role in preserving the Emirati cultural heritage.
