Fabian Basabe, Jr. (b. March 30, 1978) is a U.S. socialite and television personality who became well known when he was photographed dancing with daughter Barbara at a New York party.

The son of Fabian Basabe, Sr., the owner of the Boulevard Hotel in Miami Beach and a former owner of the Miami-area restaurants Bravo and I Paparazzi, and his wife, Maryann. He was educated in the United States and Ecuador and graduated from Cheshire Academy, a preparatory school in Cheshire, Connecticut. He also attended Pepperdine University but did not graduate. He worked for six months in a "marketing capacity" at the investment bank Morgan Stanley, having been hired by and to work for David Drucker, then a senior vice president of the bank.

He has appeared on the network's reality series Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive and writes a blog for the magazine Paper.

On 8 January 2005 he married Martina Borgomanero, an heiress to the La Perla lingerie fortune. Women's Wear Daily reported that the wedding, which took place at the Casa del Campo resort in the Dominican Republic, "occurred the same weekend as the club's VIP junket", pointing out that "Many things rich people pay for the young Basabe seems to get for free." According to Basabe's former publicist, R. Couri Hay, the wedding reception was underwritten by the restaurant at which it was held, Salon.

The New York Post reported that Basabe yelled racial epithets at African-American bouncers at a East Hampton, New York nightclub on July 7, 2005 after having been asked to leave.

An 7 December, 2006 article in Women's Wear Daily reported that contrary to Basabe's assertions, his father is not an Ecuadoran telephone tycoon but instead a Florida restaurateur.

Basabe, Sr. has been sued by numerous creditors, including American Express. Basabe said that he and his father are members of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the elite group of Catholic laypersons.http://www.observer.com/node/48667?observer_most_read_tabs_tab=1
