EXNESS is a group of companies operating in the global financial markets. The EXNESS Group's primary activity is providing services for online trading on the international foreign exchange market.
History
The EXNESS Group was founded in 2008 in New Zealand. A company office was opened in the same year in Russian Federation. In 2012 a company office was opened in Cyprus.
Chronicle
2008 - Company foundation; purchase of license to use the MetaTrader 4 trading platform from MetaQuotes Software Corp.
2009 - EXNESS enters the markets of CIS and Asian countries: China, Malaysia, Indonesia. In April an SSL certificate was obtained for the official website. September — The company obtained an exchange intermediary license in the Russian Federation. Introduction of instant withdrawal of funds from trading accounts.
2010 - EXNESS obtained a license to use the MetaTrader 5 platform from MetaQuotes Software Corp and begins developing a partnership with financial information agency Dow Jones & Company. Introduced free VPS-hosting for the company's clients. Signed a contract with Trading Central, a large financial consulting firm.
2011 - The official company website was localized into Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, Spanish, Thai, Hindi and Arabic. The company's annual trading volume exceeds 1 billion USD. EXNESS is included in New Zealand's Financial Service Provider Register as a financial services provider. The company is registered with the Financial Dispute Resolution Service. Technical support for clients is available in Arabic. Versions of MetaTrader 4 developed for the iPhone, Blackberry, and Android-based mobile devices. The company received a certificate of compliance with ISO 9001:2008 in the area of "Organizing Forex trading."
2012 - Technical support becomes available 24/7. Annual trading volume reaches 4 billion USD. The company offers trading with 1:2000 leverage. The company website is localized into 8 more languages. EXNESS provides access to trading on the interbank market on ECN accounts. The company obtains a license from CySEC.
2013 - EXNESS provides clients with free analytical reviews from Trading Central. The company lowers margin requirements for ECN accounts. 9 new languages are added to technical support: Vietnamese, Farsi, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Thai, Bengali, Indonesian Ð¸ Malay. The company offers clients a trading indicator from Trading Central. The Personal Area is updated. Market execution of orders is introduced on Mini and Classic accounts.

Since August 2012, in addition to basic financial services, EXNESS has offered access to the interbank market using ECN accounts (ECN - Electronic Communications Network). Since then the company has operated as both a market maker and an ECN broker, i.e. it enables trading on the interbank market in the ECN system through a MetaTrader 4 terminal.
