Excessum was a Black Metal band formed in Sotenäs, Sweden (later relocating to Hultsfred) that was more or less active between 2001 and 2007. They released two demos and one fullenght album before splitting up due to yet undisclosed reasons. Worth mentioning is that Lars Broddesson of the more famous Marduk was the drummer in the last line-up of the band. The lyrics were mainly dealing with Satanism and the worship of death. Associated acts are among others: Marduk, Matricide, Grief of Emerald, Holocaustia, Sadistic Grimness, Mastema and Absurdeity.
