European Network for Indigenous Australian Rights (ENIAR) is a European wide non-profit organisation that promotes awareness of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues and to provide information for Indigenous Australians about European and international organisations. ENIAR is made up of volunteers who are concerned about what they see as human rights violations suffered by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. Through events such as the Sorry Book Signing (1998), The Long Walk in London (2005) through to the Sorry Day UK 2006, ENIAR aims to provide an opportunity for Indigenous rights to be raised in an international forum. ENIAR's website highlights Indigenous Australian events around Europe. ENIAR formed in May 1998 from the Australian and European based work of individuals and organisations and is committed to human rights and social justice for all Indigenous Australians. ENIAR, not affiliated to any government or commercial bodies, is not for profit and run and funded entirely by volunteers working at festivals in the United Kingdom.
