eTutorWorld is a private education service that provides personalized online tutoring and homework help in math and science, for students in grades 5-12, including AP courses. History eTutorWorld was founded in Glen Arbor, Michigan in 2008. After extensive field testing across the US over a six month period, eTutorWorld launched its online tutoring and homework help services, US nationwide, in math and science for 5th through 12th grades, including select AP courses, in March 2009. Programs eTutorWorld offers online tutoring services. It follows a comprehensive national standard curriculum. The programs involve interactive sessions with problem solving activities and personalized lesson planning as per individual student needs. eTutorWorld uses live voice communication via Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), interactive whiteboard for collaboration, and online document sharing. Subjects eTutorWorld offers Online Tutoring and homework help in math and science for students in grades 5-12. Math Tutoring Tutoring sessions are offered for Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus and Statistics. Science Tutoring This includes online tutoring in Physics, Chemistry and Integrated Science. Technology eTutorWorld uses standard home computer technology for its tutoring sessions. Any personal computer may be used with broadband Internet connection and a headset with microphone. The website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128 bit encryption technology for secure communication, Cisco WebEx web conferencing tool for tutoring sessions, and PayPal credit card payment gateway for accepting secure payments. Methodology eTutorWorld uses the Learning by Design teaching method where the tutor plans lessons according the student’s level of understanding. Personalized attention is given each student and lessons are customized to their needs. Quality and Security eTutorWorld abides by the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
