Ernst Buss

Ernst Buss (5 November 1892 - 3 September 1950) was a Swiss footballer who played for FC Basel as forward. Buss joined Basel's first team for their 1911-12 season. He played his first game for the club in the friendly at the Landhof on 31 December 1911 as Basel played against German team Würzburger Kickers. He scored his first goal for his club in the same game, but it could not save the team from a 2-3 defeat. After playing another test game, Buss played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game on 20 February 1916. He scored his first league goal for his club in the same match as Basel won 5-3 against Étoile-Sporting La Chaux-de-Fonds. Between the years 1911 and 1916, Buss played at least three games for Basel scoring at least these two goals. One of these games was in the Swiss Serie A and two were friendly games. |
