Eric Veenstra

Eric "Eggs" Veenstra is a former American music artist, songwriter, music executive, actor, and fashion model from New Jersey. He is best known for being a former member of the American all-male five member Pop/R&B music group DIVERSE along with fellow members , , Mazzy Matin, and Michael Link.
History
Veenstra officially joined DIVERSE in early-1999. A year before in 1998, Veenstra had helped aspiring singer/songwriter Bethany Joy Lenz write a few of the songs intended for her debut album prior to Lenz signing a recording deal with Epic Records. Lenz would also go on to star in the popular television series for many years.
Veenstra was an Abercrombie fashion model for two years in both 1998 and 1999, appearing in different magazine adds and on various billboards across the United States. He also did some part-time acting, appearing sporadically on the daytime soap opera Guiding Light, occasionally alongside Lenz who had a starring role on the show at the time.
From 1999 to 2001, Veenstra was a member of DIVERSE. The group had a management and music production deal in place with H2O Entertainment from 1999 to 2001, but was unable to land a deal with a major record label during that time. In October 2001, Veenstra decided to leave the group in order to purse other interests outside of the music industry.
In mid-2002, Veenstra returned to the music industry and became the Vice President of Rocket Records, an Independent record label started by his good friend and former fellow DIVERSE group member in January 2002. After achieving only limited success for almost a decade, including being placed into hibernation for four years from 2007 to 2011, Rocket Records experienced a successful re-launch in late-2011 after 2-time Grammy-nominated music producer Tim Coons was brought in as the label's President. Coons had earned much acclaim for being the original music producer of the mega successful boy band Backstreet Boys, and also for helping to launch the highly successful careers of NSYNC, JoJo, and other notable commercial music acts.
In mid-2004 after working as the Vice President of Rocket Records for almost two full years, Veenstra left the label and also the music industry altogether on a permanent basis, deciding to enroll in dental school and become a dentist. Although Veenstra remains friends with all four of his fellow DIVERSE group members, he is no longer active in the music industry in any capacity.
Personal
Veenstra is a graduate of Eastern Christian High School in North Haledon, NJ, the same school that has produced notable entertainment personalities such as the Jonas Brothers, Bethany Joy Lenz, Antonique Smith, and Katie Sagona. Two of Veenstra's former DIVERSE group mates ( and Michael Link) also attended the school at the same time that Veenstra was a student there.
He currently runs his own dental practice in Midland Park, NJ.
