Entropia Global is a marketing consultancy-meets-agency, established in 2016 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company name is a combination of the words entropy and utopia, referring to the movement from disorder to order. Positioning itself between an advertising agency and consultancy model, Entropia provides services in consulting, communication, customer experience and commerce for brands. History Prashant Kumar, former president of IPG Mediabrands World Markets Asia and CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia, and Zuraida Mohamad, founder of Zuezen Consulting and a former senior marketer at Telekom Malaysia and New Straits Times Press, founded Entropia Global in July 2016, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (its current headquarters). Entropia partnered with platform company, Rudra Labs in 2019. Products and Services Services Entropia provides services based on 4Cs: consulting, communication, customer experience and commerce. Entropia’s consulting division provides digital transformation and innovation guidance to corporate leadership; its communication offering designs and executes data-driven brand communication campaigns; it also offers digital platform and application design and management through its customer experience (CX) service; and its commerce service focuses on e-commerce businesses. The agency launched its data consulting arm, Sentient, that same year. The three different entities service different clients: Entropia Noir focuses on market challengers whose primary goal is to become market leaders themselves; while Entropia Blanc is aimed at industry market leaders who own a majority market share and intend to stay ahead of the competition; and Entropia Rouge focuses on industry disruptors (or disruptive innovators) with relatively small market shares. as well as Roxy, its personalised marketing offering. 7 awards at the Marketing Excellence Awards 2017 and 8 awards at The Drum Digital Trading Awards 2017. In the same year, Marketing Magazine Malaysia named Entropia number 1 in the Top 10 Most Awarded Media Agency of 2017. In 2018, Entropia was awarded the Overall Media Usage Award at the MARKies Award 2018; and received 20 awards across creative, media, automation, analytics and social categories at the Agency of the Year and MARKies Awards 2018. Entropia also won 2 awards at The Drum Awards 2018; and 11 awards at the Marketing Excellence Awards 2018, as well as Marketer of the Year. It was subsequently named most awarded agency at the Mumbrella Asia Awards. In 2019, Entropia won Overall Agency of the Year 2019, as well as Creative Agency of the Year; Media Agency of the Year; Social Media Marketing Agency of the Year; and Programmatic Agency of the Year at the Agency of the Year Awards. It also won 7 Gold, 5 Silver, and 6 Bronze MARKies Awards at the same ceremony, including the Overall Creative Ideas MARKie, Overall Media Usage MARKie, and the Overall Local Hero of the Year.
