By 1989, both Ensa and sister Evin (the two youngest) had moved to prep schools. Along with siblings Ennis and Evin, Ensa suffers from dyslexia, which her mother Camille revealed in 1992. The Cosby children all had a privileged upbringing, including many celebrity family friends. At age eight, Ensa presented trumpeter Miles Davis and actress Cicely Tyson a gift of Harry Winston rings when they married in 1981. Ensa also socialized with South African President Nelson Mandela, who hosted the Cosby family at his personal residence when they traveled there along with Randall Robinson. Ensa also attended Mandela's presidential inauguration. In 1994, Camille released her book Television's Imageable Influences: The Self-Perception of Young African-Americans. Ensa helped with the book, sketching and copying papers for her mother. At age 40, Ensa married Martin Lord McClean in the town of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts on August 31, 2013. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Marguerite Sheehan of Trinity Church. The Cosby Show Ensa was the inspiration for Vanessa Huxtable on The Cosby Show. Vanessa was portrayed by Tempestt Bledsoe for all seasons of the show. In 1989, Ensa had a cameo on the show when she played a dancing girl at a party in episode "I'm 'In' with the 'In' Crowd". The part was not a speaking one, however. Other In July of 1997, Ensa's father Bill testified that he had made private payments to Shawn Upshaw, a woman who had briefly been his lover in Las Vegas during the early 1970s. Upshaw later told Cosby that he was the father of her daughter, Autumn Jackson. Cosby denies being the father and said that he gave Upshaw a total of about $100,000 because he did not want her to publicly reveal the affair. When Upshaw came to Bill to confront him about her daughter, Upshaw compared Autumn to Ensa, stating, "Doesn't she look like Ensa?"
