Enos Foord (October 21, 1796 - April 22, 1861) was the Registrar of Deeds in Norfolk County, Massachusetts from 1821 until his death in 1861.<ref nameposter/><ref namecook/> He was born October 21, 1796 in Milton and died April 22, 1861.<ref name=slafter/> He was the son of James Foord and Hannah (nee Blake) and the father of James Foord.<ref nameslafter/> Both his father and son were Registrars of Deeds.<ref nameposter/><ref namecook/> Foord was married to Elizabeth Davenport and at times they lived with their extended family. He was a member of the Allin Congregational Church.<ref name"Worthington1827"/> He was from Dedham, Massachusetts and, prior to being elected, was a teacher and assistant in the Registry while his father was in office.<ref nameposter/> Foord taught in a private school, but one brother and four sisters taught in the Dedham Public Schools.<ref nameslafter/> He was also treasurer and treasurer of the Dedham Institution for Savings.<ref nameslafter/> He was an early member of the Dedham Historical Society and served as an auditor there.<ref name"brief"/> Foord also served as an auditor of the Dedham Public Library, which he helped found.<ref name=library/>
