Emily and Dash

Synopsis
Emily is given the job of looking after Dash on a trip to the steam fair. Dash shows Emily how to make special tweeting noises with his whistle, but he does it so often, he runs out of fuel and gets stuck. Emily thoughtlessly goes on to the fair without him. Will she remember her job and come back?
Plot
Emily races along the track and through the Misty Island tunnel to Misty Island because the Fat Controller adds a special for her.
At the Logging Station Bash, Dash and Ferdinand were playing their favourite game - "Warbling Whistles", in which they make bird sounds when Emily arrives. Bash tells Emily that the Fat Controller is coming and Dash interrupts telling Emily that the Fat Controller is coming to give him his reward for being a really useful engine today.
The Fat Controller arrives on Thomas and he tells everyone " It’s the children's steam fair " then he turns to Emily telling her that her special is to take Dash to the children's steam fair. The Fat Controller turns to Dash and tells Dash his reward for being a really useful engine his to be the star of the children's steam fair.
Bash and Dash then played Warbling Whistles out of joy as Thomas looks on in amazement. Thomas tells Bash and Dash "Bubbling boilers, I never heard an engine tweet like a bird before. The children will be excited to see you ". Then Thomas sets off.
Emily had also heard Bash and Dash playing Warbling Whistles and she wanted to tweet like a bird too. So Dash says "You puff out your cheeks” and Bash adds "and scrunch up your eyes ” and Ferdinand says "and you huff and you puff ” and Bash, Dash and Ferdinand together say "and the twitters will raise ”. Then Bash, Dash and Ferdinand started to twitter and tweet while Emily watched. Emily tells Bash, Dash and Ferdinand it’s easy. Bash and Dash tell her it takes a long time to learn but Emily tells Bash, Dash and Ferdinand it will not take her long to learn and she will learn on her way to the children's steam fair.
Later on Emily and Dash are on their way to the children's steam fair and Emily tries to twitter and tweet but she can not get the right sound out of her Whistle. Then Emily and Dash come up to a junction and Emily asks Dash to show her how to twitter and tweet one more time. Dash is happy to show her but to twitter and tweet uses a lot of fuel but before he could say fuel Emily interrupts and says fool him not caring because she is not bothered about things like that. So Dash shows Emily how to twitter and tweet and Emily tries to twitter and tweet again but then Gordon goes by to go to the children's steam fair. Gordon stopped and saw Emily’s cheeks puffed out and her eyes scrunched up but Gordon just asks her if there is something wrong and him grinning makes Emily feel silly.
Gordon hears in amazement Dash making twitter and tweet sounds so Gordon tells Dash children will like that and that’s a special trick which makes Emily cross. Emily and Dash set off.
Emily and Dash are going down the track and Emily tries again to twitter and tweet but she cannot get the right sound out of her whistle. Then Emily and Dash go to a quiet siding. Emily asks Dash to show her how to twitter and tweet again and Dash is worried that he will run out of fuel but Emily ignores Dash’s warning telling Dash she is sure he will not run out of fuel. So Dash shows Emily how to twitter and tweet and Emily tries to twitter and tweet until Charlie arrives on this way to the children's steam fair. Charlie stops and giggles at Emily while her cheeks are puffed out and her eyes are scrunched up.
Charlie thinks Emily looks funny and Emily felt even sillier then Charlie hears Dash making twitter and tweet sounds. Charlie tells Dash that’s a special trick, which made Emily even crosser that she cannot do the trick. Then Emily and Dash set off.
Emily and Dash race down the track and Emily tries again to twitter and tweet but still she cannot get the right sound out of her whistle.
Emily and Dash stop at another siding and Emily asks Dash to show her how to twitter and tweet again and Dash is even more worried that he will run out of fuel. Emily ignores Dash’s warning about fuel again telling Dash not to worry.
Dash shows Emily how to twitter and tweet and Emily tries to twitter and tweet when Hiro arrives on his way to the children's steam fair. He stops and sees Emily’s cheeks puffed out and her eyes scrunched up but Hiro is concerned about her face so he sets off to tell the Fat Controller. Emily tries to tell Hiro not to tell the Fat Controller with no luck. So Emily tells Dash they need to set off right away to the children's steam fair but Dash has run out off fuel and he tells Emily to go without him.
Emily arrives at the children's steam fair where Thomas, Gordon, Charlie, Hiro, Trevor, and the Fat Controller are all ready there. The children have heard all about the twitter and tweet sounds and as soon as they see Emily they run up to her. Emily tries to twitter and tweet. She puffs up her cheeks and scrunches up her eyes but then she stops because she has forgotten what happens next.
The children are disappointed and Emily realises that she has let Dash down and she has let the children down as well, so she tells the children that she will fetch Dash for him to do the twitter and tweet sounds because it is a special trick. Then Emily sets off.
Later on Emily arrives at the siding where Dash is getting some fuel and Dash thanks Emily. Emily was happy to help and she was not thinking about twitter and tweet sounds anymore but was thinking about making the children happy. Emily and Dash raced down the track to the children's steam fair.
At the children's steam fair the children are laughing at Charlie jokes when Emily and Dash arrive. When the children saw Emily and Dash they run to them with joy and Dash shows the children the twitter and tweet sounds. The children listened in amazement then cheered and clapped and Dash giggled and so does Emily. Emily giggled so much that she makes twitter and tweet sounds and Dash and the children cheered for Emily. Emily felt happier than ever.
