Elle Jauffret is an American writer, particularly known as the author of the James Normal books, a middle-grade series about a 12-year-old boy who uses his wits to defeat mythology-inspired creatures. Elle Jauffret was born and raised in Nice, France. She graduated from the University of Sophia Antipolis Law School (in Nice, France) and from the George Washington University Law School (Washington, D.C., USA). She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
