Elijah Manley

Elijah Manley is an American activist and political figure who is running for the Democratic Nomination for State Representative in Florida's 94th House District. If elected, Manley would be the youngest Florida legislator.
Manley is considered a Progressive Democrat.
Personal life
Manley was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to a single mother in household of seven. In 2016, he famously became the youngest person to ever run for president, as well as the youngest person to run for office in Florida. Manley is jewish.
In 2020, he contracted COVID-19 during the 2019-20 Coronavirus pandemic.
Career
Manley served as a Chapter President and later member of the Board of Directors for the National Youth Rights Association where he fought for youth rights.
In 2018, he was a candidate for the Broward County School Board District 8. With 43,009 votes and 18.6%, he came in third place after incumbent Donna Pilger Korn (116,566 votes/50.4%) and fellow activist Ryan Petty (71,736/31.0%). Petty was later appointed to the Florida Board of Education by Governor Ron DeSantis after his daughter was killed in the Parkland High School shooting.
In 2019, Manley announced he would seek the Democratic nomination for State Representative for Florida's 94th House District, challenging incumbent Bobby DuBose. Manley's campaign is focusing on LGBT issues. In 2020 he was offered an advisory role with the Michael Bloomberg presidential campaign which he turned down.
